Textile Center Classes at the ACC Library
The Textile Center of Minnesota is traveling to the American Craft Council Library for a series of three classes, starting February 22nd. Come visit the library, and learn how to needle felt and stitch embellish stationery!
Textile Center Education Manager Becka Rahn says that they are “always looking for new ways to bring fiber art out in to the community.” Light rail construction is occurring in front of their building, and they are using this opportunity to bring some popular classes to a space that might be more convenient. She was looking for inspiring class spaces that would be a nice place to spend a few hours and learn something. Becka thinks the ACC Library is a comfortable, welcoming space with lots of creative inspiration all around. We agree!
The Textile Center regularly holds classes for kids at schools, libraries, and community centers, but this is the first time they have offered adult classes outside their own space. Both the Textile Center and the ACC Library are really excited to see some new faces.
Details about the classes follow; please note that the registration deadline is 7 pm the day before the class is scheduled to start. The supply list is available on the Textile Center of Minnesota’s classes and workshop page. Registration can be by phone, mail, or fax, using the Textile Center’s downloadable pdf registration form.
