This workshop emphasizes historic methods and use of hand tools, including squares, compasses, dividers, calipers, travelers, rules, bevels, etc. Tools may be fairly coarse or finely made with decorative surfaces and carefully fitted joints. Covers basic forging skills and bench skills: assembly, filing and various decorative techniques. Students may also work in wrought iron.
