Dialogue: Lindenfeld + Lindenfeld

Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center, Asheville, North Carolina
February 7–May 10, 2025

Lore Lindenfeld (1921–2010) fled Germany in the 1930s, studied at Black Mountain College with Josef and Anni Albers, and became a studio weaver, fiber collage artist, and teacher. Her daughter, Naomi Lindenfeld, is a ceramist. This mother-daughter exhibition explores how the legacy of Lore’s explorations of fiber appears in Naomi’s work, particularly in the visual motifs on her clay vessels.
