Restitched: Feed Sacks in Mid-Twentieth Century Quilts

During the Great Depression and the 1940s, cash-poor makers crafted quilts and other textiles from sacks that held animal feed and other dry goods, taking advantage of the bright colors that manufacturers printed on the cotton sacks. Seven intricate, colorful quilts by these ingenious artists are on display here.
