Saya Woolfalk: Empathic Universe

For two decades, Japan-born, New York–based artist Woolfolk has been creating the rich mythology and material culture of the Empathics, a fictional race of shapeshifting and hybridized women. This retrospective will showcase the Empathics by bringing together sculpture, video, works on paper, paintings, and performance that reflect the artist’s investigations into global craft, art, and lore.
