San Francisco Style Slam

Get a first look at some of the ACC artists' pieces that are inspiring our San Francisco stylists: Betina Baumgarten, Arles Vieira, Nathalie Chapron, and Creator [Conceptions].

Love the gorgeous, wearable pieces at ACC shows, but not sure how to incorporate them into your wardrobe? We’ve got you covered. Check out Style Slam, our new program that pairs professional local stylists with our talented clothing, accessories, and jewelry artists. Stylists will be at the American Craft Show in San Francisco to show you how the statement pieces you’ll find at our shows can fit into any style-conscious wardrobe. Style Slam will also include ACC member makeovers, trendspotting, and style commentary.

On Saturday, August 6, during the show, the following timed events will take place with the stylists.

11:30 a.m. to noon – Design Meets Style program in and around the Make Room vignettes

1 - 1:30 p.m. – Member makeover selection and stylist match in the Style Slam booth for four lucky ACC members

3:30 to 4:30  – Member makeover reveal in the Style Slam booth

Meanwhile, meet our stylists and learn a bit about their personal style.

San Francisco stylists

Meet our San Francisco show Style Slam stylists (clockwise from the top center): Nathalie Chapron, Arles Vieira, Betina Baumgarten, and Creator [Conceptions].

Creator [Conceptions]
We celebrate design and fashion that treats the body as a space for ritual and expression. As a team of stylists, we often have individual perspectives that influence the process and push the final vision toward a more eclectic and imaginative style. Lovers of vintage, upcycled, sustainable materials and globally sourced styles, we bring this same intentionality to our commitment to ethical fashion.

Betina Baumgarten
My personal style is about looking effortlessly chic by juxtaposing elements: pairing high-end pieces with budget styles, refined classic pieces with edgier ones, and mixing textures, fabrics, and prints. My fashion icon is Diane von Furstenberg – her wrap dress is my go-to because it transitions from day to night with ease and exemplifies what it means to be an independent, modern woman.

Arles Vieira
I love straight lines and the powerful look of a well-tailored garment combined with unique details. I don’t follow trends, because I believe individual expression is what matters the most in fashion. When creating a look, I look for inspiration in people, architecture, and paintings.

Nathalie Chapron
I focus on the energy and psychological impact of clothes and accessories. I use them as a persuasion tool. My personal style is a blend of elegant, romantic, and alluring; my power lies in leveraging colors, lines, patterns, textures, and contrast to highlight a woman’s essence and beauty by mirroring what’s true about her. This also heightens the aspects of what a woman wants to emphasize at any given moment.

Grant Whittaker

Grant Whittaker of Grant Whittaker Style is ACC’s 2016 Style Slam ambassador and go-to style expert who will be leading the programming at the show.
