Charlotte Herrera of Webster, New York, has been an active participant on the Memorial Art Gallery’s Board of Managers, the Board of the Arts & Cultural Council of the Rochester region, and the Advisory Board of the Alfred Ceramic Art Museum. That work provided Herrera the opportunity to broaden her interest and knowledge of craft art.
 
“In 2001, I co-founded the MAG’s Fine Craft Show and have coordinated the event annually since its inception,” she said. “During my nine-year term as an ACC Trustee and four years as Board Show Chair, I attended their annual craft shows. This created the opportunity to meet artists, discuss materials and techniques, and support their livelihoods. Being a member of the ACC and the Board of Trustees was an honor. I will continue to enthusiastically champion craft!”
