I make miniature paintings to wear, inspired by nature and Renaissance art, using tiny brushes and a magnifier. I’m drawn to the beautiful, often overlooked details. I place these little “gems” as focal points in my paintings and jewelry. Whether it’s a tiny wildflower, a chickadee, or an exquisite detail in a Renaissance painting, these are the things that make me want to paint. I work in a converted shed/studio (“shedio” ) in Southeast Louisiana surrounded by woods and interesting creatures.
