Craft Your Commerce is a program of Mountain BizWorks, a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) based in Asheville, North Carolina, serving the Western North Carolina(WNC) region. Craft Your Commerce supports craftspeople, artists, and makers through programs designed to connect, elevate, and advance creative and craft-centered businesses. Craft Your Commerce offers maker-designed training and professional development workshops, one-on-one business coaching, access to financing opportunities, and special projects that strengthen both individual businesses and the regional creative economy.

Craft Your Commerce offers accessible, practical entrepreneurship education designed specifically for artists, makers, and craft-centered business owners. Our self-paced e-learning workshops meet creatives where they are, providing tools, clarity, and confidence to help them build sustainable businesses while staying rooted in their creative practice. Each workshop combines short video lessons, real-world examples, and hands-on exercises so participants can apply what they’re learning immediately. Courses may be taken in full or explored module-by-module based on individual needs.

The platform includes workshops on pricing your work, optimizing your web presence, grant writing for creatives, and photographing your work.
