ACC Announces New Membership Benefits and Community Initiatives

February 5, 2026

Minneapolis, MN — The American Craft Council announces new membership benefits and two powerful new platforms: An expanded Craft Happenings calendar and the brand-new ACC Opportunities Board. These resources join ACC’s digital storytelling on craftcouncil.org, which welcomes 50,000+ individual site visitors each month.

ACC Membership is now an essential passport to craft. Membership provides critical support to ACC and the makers and artists in our vibrant craft community, while unlocking exclusive benefits, discounts, and special access with over 30 craft-centered organizations throughout the country. This expanded experience builds upon the familiar ACC membership, including access to hundreds of stories and articles on makers and the craft community, to connect members more deeply to the artists, organizations, exhibitions, and events shaping American craft today.

ACC Members can enjoy special benefits from a growing nationwide network of craft organizations including: Association of Clay and Glass Artists of California, The Clay Studio, Craft Industry Alliance, Foci Minnesota Center for Glass Arts, Fuller Craft Museum, The Furniture Society, Studio Art Quilt Associates, Schiffer Craft, Josh Simpson Glass, and SNAG. ACC Members will also enjoy a new, streamlined interface where they can easily access their account details and member benefits.

The expanded Craft Happenings calendar is a one-stop resource for what’s happening in craft, from must-see exhibitions, shows, to local workshops and other events. Organizations who list their events on Craft Happenings reach ACC’s highly engaged audiences across monthly emails and social media, and attendees can easily discover upcoming events in their city or plan for future trips.

Additionally, the Opportunities Board is a powerful new platform that highlights calls for entry, grants and fellowships, internships, jobs, and other opportunities across the craft field nationwide. Listings reach a national network of artists, creatives, and others who rely on ACC to find trusted, high-quality opportunities.

ACC programs and activities have changed many times, and in many ways, over the decades, and innovation and adaptations are as much a part of ACC’s story as tradition. With every era, we have found new ways to advance our vision of a world where objects matter, makers thrive, and craft connects.
