Here, There, and Everywhere

To mark the occasion of Brooklyn Metal Works’ 15th anniversary, In The Gallery presents Here, There, and Everywhere, a juried exhibition of jewelry and objects by members of the Brooklyn Metal Works alumni network.

Featuring 34 artists, Here, There, and Everywhere is a reunion, a yearbook, a map, and a moment in time. This past spring, Brooklyn Metal Works put out an open call among past and present studio members, faculty, staff, and exhibiting artists, for work made during or after the artists’ time at BKMW. Nearly a hundred artists submitted work for consideration, including textiles, painting, glass, and ceramics, alongside jewelry and metal works. Brooklyn Metal Works co-founders, Erin S. Daily and Brian Weissman, and guest juror Barbara Paris-Gifford, Senior Curator of Contemporary Art, Craft, and Design at the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD), selected 34 artists for display whose body of work exemplify innovative and interdisciplinary craftsmanship.
