As threats to artistic and creative freedom increase, how can we support each other? As artists, what does safety look like?
Artists at Risk Connection (ARC), a global organization dedicated to defending artistic freedom and cultural rights, is committed to exploring these questions. In October 2025, ARC collaborated with over 100 partner organizations (including CERF+) to launch a nationwide survey on artist safety, gathering key insights on the most pressing challenges for artists. This year, ARC is developing a risk assessment tool to help artists and cultural workers recognize risks, respond to threats, and safeguard themselves and their work.
In this webinar, Patrick Bond, U.S. Program Officer for ARC, shares the latest insights from ARC’s National Artist Safety Survey and the organization’s goals for a new risk assessment tool, which will connect artists at risk to practical resources. Bond will also provide important findings on the artist communities most impacted by our current sociopolitical moment.
This webinar is informative for individual craft artists and arts organizations alike.
