American Craft Connects attendees can enjoy an informal reception featuring light refreshments while meeting the artists, civic leaders, and community advocates who have helped shape one of the nation’s most vibrant creative districts. Hear from Josh Blanc (co-owner of Clay Squared to Infinity and the Flux Arts Building and Board Chair of the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District), Ingrid Restemayer (Arts District Board Member), Elliott “C.P.” Payne (Minneapolis City Council President and Ward 1 Council Member), and Andrea Specht (Executive Director, American Craft Council) as they share the story of the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District—its history, impact, and vision for the future.
Guests are also invited to explore Clay Squared’s colorful ceramic tile showroom and studios, as well as the larger Flux Arts Building, home to a diverse community of working artists.
- 10:00 a.m. – Arrive, enjoy refreshments, and network.
- 10:30 a.m. – Guided tour of the Flux Arts Building Art Studios, including Clay Squared
- 11:00 a.m. – Andrea, Josh, Ingrid, and C.P. Payne speak
