Discover one of the nation’s leading organizations dedicated to the art of the book at Minnesota Center for Book Arts (MCBA).
During this special open house, American Craft Connects attendees are invited to explore MCBA’s galleries, shop, artist studios, and teaching spaces while learning about its nationally recognized exhibitions, educational programs, artist residencies, and community initiatives.
Throughout the afternoon, guests are welcome to explore at their own pace, browse the galleries and shop, and spend time in the shared Open Book lobby, home to FRGMNT Coffee and Milkweed Editions. For those interested in a behind-the-scenes experience, guided 30-minute tours of MCBA’s bookbinding, papermaking, letterpress, and printmaking studios will be offered at 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Between tours, attendees are encouraged to meet staff and artists, ask questions, and discover the many ways MCBA fosters innovation at the intersection of craft, literature, and visual art.
