Crocheting Oya Workshop with Hale Ekinci

In this workshop, participants will learn how to crochet small shapes inspired by Turkish lace edging called oya. The Turkish oya symbolizes a secret language between women to express personal sentiments and influences Hale’s vibrant crochet frames. Drawing from our own experiences, we will create meaningful objects for ourselves and learn how to turn them into colorful crocheted shapes.
