Everybody’s Bolos
Fuller Craft Museum, Brockton, Massachusetts
January 25–June 8, 2025
Bolo ties, made of a cord cinched with a decorated slide, were developed to a high level of artistry by Indigenous makers. This show, featuring bolos by 30 artists, “examines the cultural history and significance of the bolo tie in marginalized communities,” the organizers write, “as well as its expressive potential and relevance as a gender-neutral form of personal adornment.”
