ACC’s Awards of Excellence celebrate outstanding artists in our marketplaces who demonstrate exceptional quality of work, mastery of material, entrepreneurial effort, and whose values align with ACC’s mission to create healthy, vibrant, and equitable marketplaces.

Meet the awardees.

The ACC Awards of Excellence include five individual awards given. Three of those awards follow the general marketplace categories of: Home & Living, Jewelry, Apparel & Accessories; and an additional recognition of those newest to our marketplace with an Emerging Artist award.

  • Annie Bisone

    At a time when fast fashion, wasteful consumption and short-term trends are the norm, I am a proponent of Slow Fashion, a sustainable movement that values well-made garments with a timeless design. I source my fabrics from design house ends, past season fabrics that are discarded and deemed unusable. This limitation of fabric results in one of a kind garments.   • Jarrod Futscher

    Jarrod Futscher designs and creates functional hand-blown glassware. He launched his production line in 2017, after nearly a decade of studying and making glass art. He is a graduate of The University of Louisville and has studied at many different craft schools across the nation. Jarrod’s collection of glassware is refined and contemporary, merging traditional blown glass elements with modern form and feel.

  • Jowita Allen

    Jowita Allen developed her interest in recycling while studying Cultural Anthropology at the University of Frankfurt, Germany. After moving to US, while studying at the Corcoran School of Art and Design of GWU, she drew her attention toward using recycled plastic in jewelry and made it the main medium used in her designs.   • Kate Dannenberg

    Kate Dannenberg is a Philadelphia-based artist. She studied Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design from the School for American Craft where she nurtured a process-driven artistic practice. Through her work as teaching artist and curator she strives to uplift the craft community through inclusion, education, and enthusiasm.
