Through Lines: Five Decades of Design at Erickson Woodworking

Erickson Woodworking
Nevada City, California
September 4–12, 2026

From September 4–12 at the Parsonage Annex in Nevada City, California, Through Lines will bring together furniture designs spanning nearly 55 years. The exhibition charts these three periods of design across two generations, exploring how a shared design language is developed, passed on, reinterpreted, and transformed.

On September 5, join Robert Erickson and local author and historian Julie Quillen for Craft: Back to the Land, a conversation exploring two currents instrumental to the early history of Erickson Woodworking: the American craft movement and Northern California’s back-to-the-land movement.

And finally, on Sunday, September 6, make the trip across the South Yuba River to our little shop in the woods and see where the work is designed and built during a special studio tour.
We hope you will join us.
