Warren Mather: All Around

In All Around, Mather brings together photography, color, and shape to create works that ask us to see the world—and one another—from more than a single point of view. There is a wonderful presence to these works: strong color, unexpected shapes, and a physicality that gives us what feels like a hard copy of the artist’s vision and mind. Mather is a New England artist, and many of the works offer recognizable starting points: the Charles River, the Boston skyline, biking, tennis, and the natural world. Yet he transforms these familiar subjects into something less familiar, inviting us to look again.
