Museum of Art In Wood

Partner Benefit

The Museum for Art in Wood engages, educates, and inspires the public through the exhibition, collection, and interpretation of contemporary art in wood. Situated in Philadelphia’s historic Old City, the Museum is widely recognized by artists, collectors, scholars, and the public as the indispensable resource for experiencing and learning about creative engagement in the material, with an emphasis on the artists and communities that drive this work.

Formerly the Wood Turning Center / the Center for Art in Wood, the Museum for Art in Wood has for 40 years provided opportunities for artists to engage in the creative use of wood through participatory programming; seminal exhibitions and documentation; collaborative artist residencies; and the growth, exhibition, and stewardship of its permanent collection. The Museum’s library and collections serve as important historic records and artifacts for investigations of material, technique, and artistic lineage.
