American Craft Council Announces Dates for Craft Objects & Design Atlanta as Atlanta Design Festival Aligns 2027 Dates With New ACC Fair

Artist applications open October 12, 2026, for the American Craft Council’s newest event, bringing together craft, design, and Atlanta’s creative community at Pullman Yards.

ATLANTA, GA — The national nonprofit American Craft Council (ACC) announced Monday that Craft Objects & Design Atlanta, its newest fair, will take place November 13–14, 2027, at Pullman Yards in Atlanta, Georgia. The Atlanta Design Festival will align its 2027 DesignStation exhibition dates with ACC’s fair. Together, the events will offer an exciting opportunity to celebrate the region’s vibrant craft, design, and arts communities.

Artist applications for Craft Objects & Design Atlanta opened October 12, 2026, with a priority application deadline of December 4, 2026, and a secondary application deadline of January 8, 2027.

The collaboration between ACC and the Atlanta Design Festival reflects a shared commitment to building a larger, more engaged audience for Atlanta’s creative community of artists, makers, designers, and cultural organizations. Both organizations aim to foster connections among creative professionals, organizations, and appreciators of craft and design. For ACC, partnering with the Atlanta Design Festival is also part of an intentional effort to build relationships with local arts organizations as it returns to Atlanta after years away.

“ACC is excited to bring a large fair to Atlanta for the first time in more than five years and offer a fresh, welcoming experience that celebrates exceptional craft and design,” said Andrea Specht, ACC’s Executive Director. “As we do, we strive to be of genuine service to this community and add unique value to Atlanta’s arts and culture offerings. That means drawing on the knowledge, experience, and passion of the people and organizations—like the Atlanta Design Festival—that make Atlanta such a dynamic place.”

“Partnering with the American Craft Council strengthens exactly what the Atlanta Design Festival was created to champion — a city where design, craft, and culture move forward together. Aligning our flagship DesignStation exhibition with ACC’s new fair allows us to welcome a larger, more diverse creative community into Atlanta, and it spotlights the city as a national destination for design innovation. This collaboration isn’t just good for the festival; it’s good for Atlanta. It brings new energy, new audiences, and new opportunities for the makers and designers who shape the future of our city.”, Bernard McCoy, Atlanta Design Festival founder.

A New Craft and Design Event for Atlanta

Craft Objects & Design Atlanta will bring together more than 150 makers, designers, and creative studios from the Atlanta region and across the country. Attendees can explore and purchase thoughtfully designed furniture, fashion, jewelry, home goods, and other objects made by hand, while enjoying hands-on activities, demonstrations, and opportunities to meet the people behind the work.

The fair will feature both established and early career artists and designers, providing opportunities to connect with thousands of attendees, collectors, and appreciators of craft. Artist collectives, cooperatives, and nonprofits centered on craft and design can apply for Community Booths, while galleries representing craft artists and designers are also welcome to participate. Outdoor space at Pullman Yards is expected to feature demonstrations and additional programming as the full event lineup takes shape.

ACC Returns to Atlanta With a Fresh Take on a Beloved Event

Craft Objects & Design Atlanta 2027 marks the return of ACC’s in-person fairs to Atlanta. The national nonprofit has a long history in the city, having hosted annual craft fairs in Atlanta for nearly three decades before the COVID-19 pandemic put them on pause.

“Atlanta is a place where craft and design are deeply connected to the city’s cultural and economic identity,” said Andrea Specht, American Craft Council Executive Director. “We continue to hear from local makers and appreciators who are hungry for the kind of large, in-person event that ACC is uniquely positioned to produce. Our goal is to build something hand-in-hand with the people and organizations of Atlanta—to create a distinctive local offering that connects this vibrant craft and design community with a national audience.”

Atlanta and the surrounding region continue to be home to a significant number of American Craft Council members and supporters, as well as artists, designers, galleries, museums, schools, cultural organizations, and creative businesses that have been vocal advocates for ACC’s return.
