Textile artist, Tenisha Dotstry, has been perfecting her technique for making rope baskets since 2016. A Navy Veteran and military spouse, she is currently based in Washington State, but started her art career in Norfolk, Virginia. Inspired by the sweetgrass baskets in Charleston, South Carolina and her travels in the military, Tenisha has mastered her own style of basketry that pays homage to traditional basketry and her nautical background with a modern twist.
