Inspired by the oak woods in my backyard, my work speaks of growth, fruition, decay, and renewal. The richness of nature’s layers: new sprouts growing through fallen leaves, lush but remote berries, and ethereal mushrooms, here and suddenly gone. I use color, texture, pattern, and form to communicate comfort and solace - the feelings of connectedness which fill me up and inspire me when I’m in my woods.
