Join the American Craft Council for our second annual Decked Out fundraiser—an evening party at the historic Grain Belt Brew House to celebrate the artful work of the human hand. Shop a micro-marketplace featuring local artists, engage in hands-on craft making, and enjoy cocktails, beverages, and a delicious spread from Create Catering.
Coinciding with the release of the Fall 2024 issue of American Craft, focused on the theme weave, this event emphasizes the ways craft adds meaning and texture to our lives.
Proceeds from Decked Out support professional development for artists, inspiring storytelling through American Craft and other platforms, and lively regional events designed to bring the craft community together.

TAKE PART IN HANDS-ON CRAFTS
- Chiaki O’Brien, a SAORI Leader Committee Certificate recipient, invites you to participate in free-flowing, uninhibited hand-weaving of two community banners through the SAORI practice. SAORI is the philosophy that we are all born with unique sensibilities and the power to create. The practice represents our individuality and shared humanity through unique and varied woven banners.
- Textile Center will demonstrate basketry coiling techniques and offer a variety of samples for participants to reference as they create their own coaster or trivet. Participants will have their choice of materials, from natural fibers like raffia, grasses, and reeds, to yarn fiber scraps for a colorful and eco-friendly scrap-busting approach.
ENJOY SNACKS & DRINKS
Tasty offerings from Create Catering and signature crafted cocktails at the bar. All ticket holders receive one drink ticket, and VIP ticket holders enjoy an open bar.
BID AT THE SILENT AUCTION
Bid on amazing experiences including a 3-night stay at a beautiful Chesapeake Bay home, dinner for 10 at The Dining Studio, a behind-the-scenes tour of historic Waldmann Brewery, and other exciting packages.
