Anna Mlasowsky collage

Seattle-based artist and 2017 ACC Emerging Voices Award finalist Anna Mlasowsky will discuss how the many states of glass – its mutability, transformative character, and intangible materiality – have been her alter ego. In the development of her experimental and process-driven projects, her engagement with glass has allowed her to explore personal narratives and investigate how our material culture influences ideas of truth, reality, and normativity in our society. Join us as Mlasowsky leads us through her work and discusses what a material-based contemporary practice can tell us about our culture and perceptions.

The ACC Emerging Voices Awards are made possible by the generous support of the John and Robyn Horn Foundation.
