The first class is for anyone who loves fabric, collage, or color. Using a variety of fabric scraps, you will combine color and texture, motif and scale to create mood, memories, and magic. You’ll gather even more ideas from the oodles of samples Lesley brings. All fragments will be temporarily fused in class in preparation for optional machine or hand-stitching.

You will learn how to use TAP Transfer Artist Paper to get images on your fabric and words in your work. Kit fee includes three computer-printed images and quotes for you to use on your collage.

The second class is a no-sew, fabric-based exploration of fabric, image, and text as it applies to book page design and bookmaking. Explore transferring image and text onto fabric with TAP Transfer Artist Paper. Using the fabric text and images, you will build a series of collages from fabric and paper fragments, combining texture, text, and textiles. Bring any fabric scraps you want to use/share. By the end of class, your fragments will be combined into a marvelous book structure.
