Wence and Sandra Martinez, Collage

In an epic story of art, love, and collaboration, master weaver Wence Martinez and his wife, symbolist painter Sandra Martinez, have been working together for nearly 30 years. Their journey began with a long-distance connection from Wisconsin to Mexico, and continued through numerous artistic collaborations and a lifelong partnership. Join Wence and Sandra as they discuss their work, background, artistic process, and path to making art as a full-time job.

The Library Salon Series is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

Thank you to our sponsors: Minnesota State Arts Board, Northeast Bank, and The Draft Horse.
