Join us for an opening reception celebrating the remarkable team that won this year's MN Book Artist Award for "My Mighty Journey: A Waterfall's Story," including John Coy (author), Gaylord Shanilec (lead artist), Sorcha Douglas, Barbara Eijadi, Paris Fobbe, Ellen Janda, Hans Koch, Monica Edwards Larson, Greta Lapcinski, Rayan Macalin, Kerri Mulcare, Emily Pressprich, and Amanda Degener.

On view February 7 – March 22, the "MN Book Artist Award" exhibition will allow people to see an original edition of My Mighty Journey: A Waterfall's Story up close. At 4.5-feet wide, this is one mighty handmade book! Written by acclaimed author John Coy, My Mighty Journey shines with the visual expertise of renowned letterpress printer Gaylord Schanilec, who led a team of 11 artists through a five year process of composition, printing, and binding.

Selected artwork by members of the production team will give viewers a sense of the breadth of talent and knowledge embodied by this winning team.

An artist talk will begin at 7 p.m. in the Target Performance Hall at Open Book.
