Joyce J. Scott Wins 2016 MacArthur "Genius Grant"
Baltimore artist Joyce J. Scott has been awarded a 2016 MacArthur fellowship, known as the "genius grant." Scott, 67, was inducted into the American Craft Council College of Fellows in 2000, and continues to inspire with her media- and genre-crossing jewelry, sculptural, and performance work.
Scott has been featured numerous times in American Craft magazine, most recently in a May 2016 story, “The Artist On the Block.”
