Watch ACC's TPT TV Takeover
We recently took over the airwaves at the Twin Cities PBS (TPT) studio in St. Paul as part of their month-long TV Takeover series.
The evening was a fun-filled celebration of all things craft, including video profiles of makers, demos by the Textile Center and Urban Boatbuilders, a pop-up craft fair with 11 local artists, and the main event: our fourth annual Craft Cage Match.
Emcee Levi Weinhagen provided commentary as team Craftaroni (Ta-coumba Aiken, Beth Bowman, and Sarah Millfelt) faced off against team PPP (Bianca Pettis, Scott Pollock, and Peter Haakon Thompson) in a series of challenges including craft trivia, arm knitting, and blindfolded pot throwing.
Who emerged victorious? You'll have to watch the replay to find out.
Thanks again to our sponsors, Northeast Bank and the Minnesota State Arts Board, and to TPT and everyone who participated and made the night possible.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
TV Takeover is supported in part through an Art Works grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and by the State Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund and the citizens of Minnesota. Additional funding is provided by the Lowertown Future Fund.
