I am a self-taught artist who has been learning, practicing and expanding the art of marbling for over three decades. Omitting formal instruction has made for a longer learning curve, but it has also allowed me to gain insights and develop parameters I would likely have missed otherwise. Marbling involves producing fractal images by combing through paints floated on a water surface, and lifting off the resulting unique design by laying down a sheet of fabric or paper on the water.
