I have been a hand weaver for over 50 years and my work has focused on designing and creating wearables that are colorful,comfortable and timeless in their style. I use many original as well as traditional woven pattern structures to achieve cloth that is something not seen as produced by “industry” . For some of my pieces , especially silk scarves and shawls, I dye color patterns into the warp yarns using the resist dye technique of ikat. For all of my work, I want the cloth to tell the story.
