I have been a handweaver and dyer since 1978. Originally inspired by textiles and landscapes  when traveling in Latin America at age 16, I continue to be influenced by the colors and design elements of Peruvian and Guatemalan cloth. Dying my own silk yarns gives me control over color palette, and my multi-harness looms allow creativity in terms of scale, texture and motif. My passion is to create work that is truly "wearable art:" beautiful to view and touch, luxurious to wear.
