Let’s make marquetry, together! Educators and makers from A Workshop of Our Own demystify the process of wood inlay and coach you to create your very own piece to be assembled into a large illustration over the weekend.

Let's Make More Woodchips
Cheer on accomplished wood artists from the Baltimore Area Turners, a local chapter of the American Woodturners Association, who transform wood into awe-inspiring, functional works of art right in front of your eyes.

Let's Make Makerspaces Vibrant
Forging a spoon takes thousands of hammer blows, but by combining our efforts over the weekend, we'll make spoons, together! Discover this age-old metalcraft with educators and artists from the Baltimore Jewelry Center.

Let's Make Skill and Dedication
Get a little dusty trying your hand at stone-carving and get a little sparkly while gold-leafing etched marble with local sculptor Sebastian Martorana. See and feel the tools and techniques involved in this indelible art form.

Made In Baltimore aims to spur re-investment in the city by growing the market for locally made goods. This collective display of contemporary makers demonstrates trends underfoot in Baltimore – lived craft and craft lived.

Hip Pop welcomes emerging artists into a community of exhibitors
This five-year track program is designed to provide an accessible pathway for emerging artists to take the next step in turning their craft into a livelihood. Hip Pop introduces 156 artists to the ACC marketplace each year, with the ACC underwriting portions of their expenses and supplying them with booth structures and support for the weekend. We also match Hip Pop artists with seasoned artists for a mentoring partnership.
In Baltimore, we’re excited to have 60 artists exhibiting through the program.
School-to-Market gives students invaluable marketplace experience
We open our shows to students in craft programs across the country to give them the practical insight and exposure to launch a successful practice after graduation. Check out this new wave of artists exploring their pathway to practice.

ACC’s five different Awards of Excellence recognize makers who demonstrate exceptional quality of work and entrepreneurial effort, and whose values align with ACC’s mission to create healthy, vibrant, and equitable marketplaces.
- Craft Connects Award honors a maker who is genuinely rooted in a sense of place, whether it’s a community, practice, or tradition.
- Making Matters Award honors a maker whose work demonstrates their high level of commitment to improving environmental health, social justice, and sustainability.
- Craft Makes Us Human Award honors a maker whose presence at the show demonstrates a radically welcoming environment.
- Born to Make Things Award honors a maker who applies supreme skill in their use of booth space and the aesthetic design of their display.
- Creative Spirit Abounds Award honors a maker in our emerging artist program who demonstrates an innovative approach to making that causes us to pause, question, laugh, cry, or think differently.
