In partnership with the Furniture Society, the Center for Art in Wood presents a juried exhibition in the Gerry Lenfest Gallery of 45 contemporary chairs, benches, and stools.  On view will be sculptural, conceptual, functional (and the occasional dysfunctional) seating, reflecting the dramatic evolution of design from the storied history of chair-making in Philadelphia.  A 288-page full color catalogue accompanies the exhibition.
