With an emphasis on fundamental techniques of handbuilt vessels, this workshop is designed for those new to the medium, self-taught artists looking to fill educational gaps, and current ceramicists who want to improve their fluency in the studio.

Learn how to build plates, bowls, cups, and mugs using a range of hand building techniques, including soft- and hard-slab construction, coil building, and molds. In addition, surface decoration will be discussed and explored to complement the vessels made throughout the week. Instruction will be tailored to each individual student's goals.
