The 30 artfully designed pieces in the invitational exhibition "Respecting the Grain: Fine & Functional Studio Furniture" represent the most innovative and finely crafted woodwork being done in New England today. The pieces on display are broad in scope and diverse in form, covering the gamut of uses, including tables and chairs, floor and wall cabinets, desks, lamps, benches and stools, sideboards, and a clock. Rendered with hand and power tools, they reveal the beauty, sensuality, and diversity of both common and exotic woods.
