Screenprinting clay workshop with Megan Mitchell. This workshop embraces a cross-disciplinary approach to surface design on functional and sculptural ceramics. Using screenprinting methods, explore both simple graphic designs and the possibilities for printing photographic imagery on wheel-thrown or handbuilt work. 

Discover how to develop imagery, including design and formatting for ceramic work. Demonstrations will introduce you to preparing screens using masking processes and photo emulsion, making an "ink" out of ceramic materials, and printing directly and indirectly on clay. This workshop is designed for students with some ceramics experience, either hand building or throwing.
