En route to NCECA, ceramicist, writer and curator, Dr. Bonnie Kemske will visit Greenwich House Pottery to give a presentation on the teabowl and discuss her most recent publication, The Teabowl: East and West. She will introduce the chawan and explore why it is iconic both in Japan and in the West. 

Bring your favorite teabowl/ Dr. Kemske will lead a discussion focusing on the chawans that audience members bring in.

Books will be available for purchase at the end of the talk.
