Who’s Your Craft Crush?
In our February/March issue we asked people to tell us their craft crush, and Sylvie Rosenthal, Christina Bothwell, Giovanni Corvaja, Wharton Esherick, and Alexander McQueen all got nods. Since then, we asked American Craft Council staffers and our friends on social media to reveal their picks. Ever wondered whom American Craft editor in chief Monica Moses admires? How about ACC director Chris Amundsen? Find out here, and tell us who you’re sweet on.

More Great Glass
In the February/March issue we celebrated 50 years of studio glass in the United States, and the entire country is celebrating with us. We’ve compiled our recommendations for glass exhibitions to attend this year, including a spectacular pair of shows on the “Founders of American Studio Glass,” Harvey K. Littleton and Dominick Labino, running throughout 2012 at the Corning Museum of Glass. Visit us online for the list – and share the shows you have visited or plan to see.

Charm City Recap
Head online to watch videos from the ACC show in Baltimore. The Awards of Excellence jurors discuss how they chose artists for top honors; we also caught up with ACC jewelry artist Andrea Haffner (“Nature Squared,” Feb./Mar. 2012). Plus we have footage of the stellar educational programs, including a talk by Michael Petry, author of The Art of Not Making, and a conversation between artist, educator, and ACC trustee Sonya Clark and Joyce Scott, an ACC Fellow.

This Month in ACC History
In this new monthly series, the ACC Library staff handpicks historic moments in craft from the organization’s 70-year history. So far they’ve highlighted William J. Barrett, ACC president from 1963 to 1967, and the former ACC retail outlet America House, among others. Come learn more online – and keep an eye out for more highlights from the ever-expanding ACC Library Digital Collections as well.

Project Upcycle
For a fun twist on sustainability, the ACC challenged seven artists to creatively repurpose materials from a renovated exercise studio. See additional images of the works in progress and video of the participating artists - coming soon!
