2017 Baltimore Show Awards of Excellence
A tradition established at the start of the American Craft Shows, the Awards of Excellence recognize and celebrate show artists in a few categories: overall work quality, booth design, and an emerging Hip Pop artist.
From a pool of more than 650 incredibly talented makers, only 10 were chosen to be honored with awards at our 2017 American Craft Show in Baltimore.
For quality of work, awards were given to woodworker Robert Patterson (booth 2508), ceramists Romulus Craft (booth 2305), jeweler Liz Oppenheim (booth 214), and weaving and textile artist Deborah Cross (booth 1404).
Taking home the award for booth design, which honors both quality work and booth presentation, were jeweler Amarette Gregor (booth 413) and jeweler and mixed media artist Andrea Haffner (booth 2106).
Ceramist and new ACC artist Brian Giniweski (booth 915-5) won the Award of Excellence for an emerging artist as part of our Hip Pop program.
In addition to the ACC Awards of Excellence we are happy to partner with three outstanding arts organizations that offer their own awards of excellence. Congratulations to woodworker Salem Barker (booth 3911), the recipient of Collectors of Wood Art Award of Excellence in Wood Art; jeweler Seung Jeon Paik (booth 112), who received the James Renwick Alliance Award of Excellence for Innovation in Craft, and Linda Kindler-Priest (booth 2500) for the SNAG Award of Excellence in Jewelry and Metal.
Congratulations to all of our award winners!
