Style Slam Stylist Spotlight: Taylor Negrete
American Craft Show in San Francisco
What is your company name? Taylor Janet
How do you define your signature style?
I am all about a chic, polished, and eclectic aesthetic. I love experimenting with silhouettes, textures, patterns, and colors, but I want to keep each look cohesive, fresh, and sleek. Fashion is meant to be fun and to take risks, but it’s just as important to assess how you will feel about those risks five years later. I wore a tiered BCBG Max Azria champagne colored dress to my prom more than seven years ago, and to this day I still love what I wore.
What's your favorite style tip?
Balance and tailoring are key to any chic outfit. Balance out a wide-leg trouser by wearing a fitted camisole instead of an oversized sweater.
Who are your ACC show artist picks?
- Michael Boyd: This piece beautifully showcases how jewelry can be both simple and eye-catching.
- Pong Gaddi: It's a gorgeous, oversized statement bag to take to the beach or park, use as an overnight bag, or even roll up and throw in your suitcase.
- Amy Nguyen: It highlights the tough design of mixing patterns and bold colors. It's a versatile coat I would wear any day, whether with a dress and heels or ankle trousers and mules.
- Greg Roche: I immediately wanted this bag when I saw it. The unique shape, colors, and textures are exciting, and I need this in my closet.
- Tura Sugden: These delicate earrings are way more playful than your standard studs and will have everyone asking you where they are from.
