San Antonio-based artist and ceramist (and 2017 ACC Emerging Artist) Jennifer Ling Datchuk has always felt like she has been caught between two worlds and never fully part of either one. Navigating her heritage as a Chinese Caucasian American, she is constantly answering the question, “what are you?” This exhibition of Datchuk’s porcelain work explores questions of identity and shared values in Chinese and American culture and the emotive power of domestic objects.
