Style Slam Stylist Spotlight: Leah-Marie Bronson
American Craft Show in San Francisco
What's your company name? Curbside Couture
How do you define your signature style?
Fashion forward, yet classic. I believe I acquired my sense of style from my grandparents. My grandfather owned his own business and wore a suit while my grandmother shopped like it was her job and dressed to the nines. He taught me the importance of "dressing the part," and she taught me the importance of looking glamorous and being fabulous. So while it’s fun to dress wild, there should always be a conservative component.
What's your favorite style tip?
Classic staples are the foundation of a great wardrobe.
Who are your ACC show artist picks?
- Susan Bradley: I love a simple black dress. I was immediately drawn to the lines and folds of the fabric. With the right shoes and jacket, the dress is plays as a great base template for many different looks.
- Susan Chin: The rings are so cool. I’ve never really seen anything like them, and they screamed art deco to me – which I felt added some excitement to the blander color palette of the apparel.
- Reiko Ishiyama: It's a beautiful statement necklace. The color will match the jacket perfectly and complement it as if they were made for each other – yet provide great contrast with the texture.
- Amy Nguyen: This jacket is a showpiece. The intricacy of the folds and the watercolor-like coloring on the back are exquisite.
- Camille Benjamin: Loved this jacket - its laid back but can be dressed up and the fabric is so interesting and textural. Seems like a nice multi season piece.
- Richard Davis: This purse is gorgeous and compliments the whole look perfectly. The colors and the texture play along with the whole concept I am trying to achieve.
- Nicole Deponte: This piece is a unique and elegant scarf. I think its adds a different element to the whole look. Combined with the Richard David purse, it's a perfect look for the evening.
