Welcome to Our New Website

Woodturner

Welcome to the new craftcouncil.org! You may have noticed that things look a bit different now.

We’re thrilled to share the results of our months-long collaborative effort with Four Kitchens, an Austin-based company that specializes in creating dynamic websites. Their fantastic, talented team is working on the forefront of Drupal web development, and we couldn’t have asked for a better partner in this process.

Here are some of the changes you’ll encounter as you browse the new site.

  • A clear identity. Last fall we shared our new visual identity. Now the website aligns with our new branding as well. We want visitors to know exactly who we are and what we do. Want to get involved? We’ve made that easier to do too.
  • It’s responsive. No more pinching and adjusting to try and read things on your smartphone. Now you can browse with ease on your desktop and other devices.
  • It’s more visual, like the craft world. Plus, things are easier to find. Looking for a recent post? Head to the stories tab for a chronological look at all the blog posts and American Craft magazine articles we’ve published.
  • Our shows are easier to find and explore. You can search for ACC show artists using the site search and easily find show information and buy tickets. Right now, we’re preparing for our San Francisco show. Information on our 2017 shows will be available starting this fall.
  • Our ever-popular craft resource lists are now more dynamic and easier to navigate. The events calendar also got a face-lift, and you can find upcoming ACC events right on our homepage as well.
  • Did you know we’re hosting our 12th national conference this fall? We’ve got a full section of information on that too. No more sifting through third-party sites to find the details you’re looking for.

As always, the website is an evolving platform. We’re still fine-tuning things, and we’ll be rolling out a number of enhancements over the coming months. In the meantime, please explore. And, if you encounter anything amiss, let us know.
